AR series
The iron removal unit is designed to remove both dissolved iron (Fe2+) and precipitated iron (Fe3+) from the water. An AR-type unit also removes a small amount of manganese and hydrogen sulfide.
The iron removal process involves catalytic oxidation of the dissolved iron and filtration of the resulting precipitate. During backwashing, the filtered iron sediment is flushed into the drain. The unit works fully automatically, starting regenerations on a time basis. Under the standard program, the unit backwashes every three days. To restore the working capacity of the filter media, a potassium permanganate (KMnO4) solution is used during backwashing; the user must add potassium permanganate to the solution tank regularly. The installation site needs an electrical outlet and a drain connection. The special feature of these units is that, in addition to regular backwashing of the filter media, it is also regenerated with a potassium permanganate solution.
BR series
The chemical-free iron removal unit is designed to remove both dissolved iron (Fe2+) and precipitated iron (Fe3+) from the water.
The iron removal process involves oxidation of the dissolved iron with atmospheric oxygen, precipitation and filtration of the precipitate into the filter media. The filter media together with air speeds up the oxidation of the iron dissolved in the water. The iron precipitate remains in the filter media and is flushed into the drain during its backwashing. No chemicals are needed to backwash the unit’s filter media. The unit works fully automatically, starting backwashing on a time basis. Under the standard program, the unit backwashes every three days. The installation site needs an electrical outlet and a drain connection.
PAF series
The iron removal and water softening unit is designed to remove dissolved iron (Fe2+) and hardness (i.e. the calcium and magnesium salts contained in the water). The unit also removes manganese (Mn2+) dissolved in the water.
In the unit, the calcium, magnesium, iron and manganese ions dissolved in the water are replaced with sodium ions. The unit works fully automatically, performing backwashing, i.e. regeneration, according to consumption. The user’s task is to make sure there is always enough of a supply of salt tablets in the brine tank. The installation site needs an electrical outlet and a drain connection.
FA series
The chemical-free filter unit is designed to remove precipitated iron (Fe3+), drift sand and mechanical particles.
The essence of the process of removing iron and other mechanical particles is filtering the precipitate into the filter media. The precipitate is captured and, during the backwashing of the filter media, is flushed into the drain. No chemicals are needed to backwash the unit’s filter media. The unit works fully automatically, backwashing on a time basis. Under the standard program, backwashing takes place every three days. The installation site needs an electrical outlet and a drain connection.
