Miridon OÜ green energy project: the Silpower cogeneration plant in Sillamäe
At the beginning of 2021, Miridon OÜ completed a major project that contributed to green energy production. In Sillamäe, the last stage of the design and construction of the water treatment system for the Silpower combined heat and power plant was completed.
Cogeneration plants are becoming ever more popular in energy production. The reason is simple – combined production of heat and electricity is cost-effective and at the same time more environmentally friendly. This is where water comes into play in a cogeneration plant, which has to be ultrapure and which Martti Hoop, project manager at OÜ Miridon, which supplies water treatment equipment, compared to the plant’s bloodstream.
