AC series
The chemical-free activated carbon unit is designed to improve the smell and taste properties of the water. The activated carbon filter completely removes the smell and taste of chlorine and, to a small extent, organic substances dissolved in the water.
Particles of substances in the water are adsorbed onto the surface of the activated carbon filter media. During backwashing of the filter media, the activated carbon is loosened and the filtered sediment is flushed into the drain. No chemicals are needed to backwash the unit’s filter media. The unit works fully automatically, backwashing on a time basis. Under the standard program, backwashing takes place every three days. The installation site needs an electrical outlet and a drain connection.
FA series
The chemical-free filter unit is designed to remove precipitated iron (Fe3+), drift sand and mechanical particles.
The essence of the process of removing iron and other mechanical particles is filtering the precipitate into the filter media. The precipitate is captured and, during the backwashing of the filter media, is flushed into the drain. No chemicals are needed to backwash the unit’s filter media. The unit works fully automatically, backwashing on a time basis. Under the standard program, backwashing takes place every three days. The installation site needs an electrical outlet and a drain connection.
Filtration
Filtration is a water treatment method that uses various filters to remove microorganisms. To improve the clarity and purity of the water, the water passes during the process through special filter media that can stop microbes and sediment particles. The effectiveness of filtration depends on the chosen filter media and the filtration process. Some filters may need replacing or periodic cleaning to maintain their effectiveness.
- Sediment filter consists of a dense material that prevents microorganisms and larger sediment from passing through. Such filters are, for example, sand filters or fabric filters.
- Activated carbon filter. Activated carbon is a porous material that can adsorb organic substances, odors and microorganisms from the water. Such filters help reduce the microbe content in the water and improve taste and smell.
- Microfilter membranes are made of a fine porous material that can stop the passage of microorganisms, bacteria and larger particles.
Miridon’s product range includes various filters such as: Irri, Pulifill, Odis, Permaster (screen filters), cartridge filters and bag filters.
