Units based on ultraviolet (UV) radiation are an effective and environmentally friendly solution for water disinfection. The UV lamp emits light of a specific wavelength that destroys the DNA of microorganisms, leaving them unable to reproduce. This removes bacteria, viruses and other pathogens from the water without using chemicals.
A UV unit works effectively only with clear, iron-free water. UV rays cannot pass through cloudy water. That is why it is often necessary to install filter units before the UV unit. The unit does not affect the odor or taste properties of the water.

The unit consists of a UV lamp, the quartz tube surrounding it, a stainless steel housing and an electronic power supply.

The biggest advantage of UV units is that they are a completely chemical-free water treatment method – the water is not enriched with chemicals, so there is no need for waste handling. At the same time, the natural properties of the water are preserved and its taste and odor do not change, which makes UV disinfection an ideal solution for drinking water.
The units act very quickly. The UV lamp reaches its full working capacity in about 30 seconds. They are also easy to maintain: it is enough to clean the quartz tube periodically. The UV lamp life is up to 9000 operating hours. The sturdy stainless steel housing and standard 230 V supply ensure the unit’s reliability and easy integration into various systems.
